How to fix Warcraft 3 Registry Error (InstallPath Error)

If you re-install windows and not the warcraft or you just copied warcraf directory from another computer you can not install Warcraft patch. The game work normally same with the installed version. while you trying to update with the latest patch for example
War3TFT_123a_English.exe the error will occurand you'll see this warning Registry error loading key 'Warcraft III\InstallPath' Error. You can make your registry entries manually by using Windows Registry Editor! to fix this error.

Follow this steps:

1. Open up regedit (start > run > regedit)
2. Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Blizzard Entertainment\
3. Create new key, name it Warcraft III
4. On right side of new key entry, right click and create new string value
5. Name it InstallPath
6. Change the value of InstallPath to wherever you installed it (example: 'D:\warcraft III\')
7. Reinstall Warcraft 1.23 Patch. (warcraft patch should installed without any errors)
