
Battle.Lan is another program thats allows You to play Warcraft 3 over TPC/IP.
you don't need Battle.NET acount to play Warcraft 3 with battle.Lan, but you must enter the IP of your friend that will joind your Game. Battle.LAN act like game hoster. A network packet forwarder allows wc3 games on Internet. Battle.LAN forwards LAN traffic to remote internet hosts, supplementing LAN applications to allow them to work on the Internet.
It is known to work with Warcraft v1.02 CD and No-CD version.

How to Play Warcraft 3 Using Battle.LAN
=======================================
1. Launch Battle.LAN on the game host.
2. Enter the IPs of other players. The game host's IP may be omitted.
3. Press 'Add' to add the IP to the receivers list.
4. Click start.
5. Now create your Warcraft game normally. Your friends will see your game in the LAN game and be able to join it.

does Battlelan allow me hosting a game on battle.net and let my friend connect thru lan?
nope, you cannot use batle.lan to host as batlenet server.
to host as batle.net you can use PvPGN

Batle.Lan just Lan emulator, you need to enter your friends IP to play with your friends..
if you want to act as host just like batle.net use PvPGN..
Does this work on newer "PATCHED" Versions of WC3? Anyone tried it on the latest release?
